【摘要】:1.1Thisconsumersafetyspecificationestablishesperformancerequirements,testmethods,andlabelingrequirementstopromotethesafeuseofinfantbathtubs.Specificallyexcludedfromthescopeofthisstandardareproductscommonlyknownasbathslings,typicallymadeoffabricormesh.1.2Thisconsumersafetyspecificationisintendedtoreducetheriskofdeathandminimizeinjurytoinfantsresultingfromuseandreasonablyforeseeableabuseofinfantbathtubs.1.3Noinfantbathtubproducedaftertheapprovaldateofthisconsumersafetyspecificationshall,eitherbylabelorothermeans,indicatecompliancewiththisspecificationunlessitconformstoallrequirementscontainedherein.1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.5Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section7,ofthisconsumersafetyspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
